Greetings
all,
Planning
for the AVP International Gathering in Kenya is progressing. We have been following
and continue to follow the situation there closely and believe that the gathering
in Kenya will provide great opportunities for learning and for contribution. We
are looking for the most economical way to travel. We
have an amazing opportunity to be present in Kenya as they move forward from the
violence of the past months. We can both learn from the intensive work going on
at the ground level there and lend our efforts and experience where it can be
put to dynamic use.
Please
plan to join us. We need as broad a spectrum of the AVP community as possible.
The following opportunities and needs are already clear. We hope to hear
from many of you as we go forward with your ideas and contributions. *
We are looking for ideas about what would most benefit your local program.

What workshops would you like to take or give?
* Consider coming early
or staying afterwards to facilitate workshops.
* Come learn about the AVP
styled trauma workshop called Healing and Rebuilding our Communities.

Funding for scholarships and travel will be needed to ensure the widest representation
possible. If you can contribute or know of a source, please let us know. We can
help with request writing.
